More than 250 kids from across the New York area attended the Give Big Straight from the Heart Kids Cut-a-Thon, held at the Matrix Global Academy in New York City on March 2nd.

This event was the kickoff for the National Kids Cut-a-Thon that will be held in HUNDREDS OF salons across the country on March 30th.

The NYC Kids Cut-a-Thon raised more than $10,000 to support the
Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF). Parents in tow, kids played games and got their hair cut by top Matrix stylists for a great cause - putting an end to pediatric AIDS. Together with the National Kids Cut-a-Thon on March 30th, total donations from this program will be more than $75,000.

Matrix partnered with EGPAF and Cookie Magazine to host this Kids Cut-A-Thon as part of a nationwide effort to raise money for the foundation. Matrix has worked with EGPAF to help eradicate pediatric AIDS since 2007.
