Whether sleek, sophisticated or edgy, fashion and celebrity hairdresser Mark Townsend knows how to bring out the beauty in everyone. His confident attitude and keen attention to detail have made Mark one of the most highly sought after hair stylists in the business.  An Army brat, Mark was born in Lakeland, Florida and grew up there.  After high school, he entered cosmetology school and quickly found his calling.  Mark supported himself through beauty school while assisting at a local hair salon that he eventually began working at after graduation. 

After perfecting his skill at his hometown salon, Mark decided it was time to move on to bigger and better endeavors.  His strong interest in the fashion world eventually drove him to New York City where he began assisting other hairdressers, including Oribe, Danilo and Sally Hershberger. These apprenticeships introduced him to location work on photo shoots and runway shows and films.  Eventually his film work led him to major productions like Vanilla Sky and Minority Report, working closely with stars including Tom Cruise and Penelope Cruz.

From there it became easy for Mark to spread his wings and establish his career as a top freelance artist, working on photo shoots, advertising campaigns and celebrities.  Mark is currently based in Los Angeles and works regularly in New York.
