Course Description:

Human Art is a personal design system which measures the individual's unique attributes, physical characteristics and personality style. By combining design, art, color and psychological principles. Human Art assists the stylists in identifying and developing a unique personal design profile. Once the personal design profile has been completed, the stylists selects a coloring and cutting approach that harmonizes and illuminates the individuals inherent beauty.

Course Format:

Introduction to Human Art Theory, Practice, Cutting and Coloring Techniques

  • Basic art and design elements within the context of Human Art Theory.
  • Learn about the four basic design harmonies with their associated lines, movement and contrast values. This course serves as a foundation for further education in Human Art and is a prerequisite for all other courses.
  • Basic cutting approach and color strategies with in the Human Art theory.
  • Learn how to cut the appropriate lines associated with each harmony and leave with a knowledge of how to get started with a specific color service for each harmony.

  • Shears
  • Paddle Brush
  • Denman Brush
  • Small Sectioning Clips
  • Cutting Combs
  • Highlighting Comb
  • Color Apron
  • Blow Dryer w/ Nozzle
  • Ceramic Flat Iron
Recommended Prerequisite:

Color Foundations and/or Core Of It All; Minimum of 3 years of salon color/cutting experience.
