Course Level: Advanced
Course Description:
Take the journey through hair coloring and hair cutting as separate explorations. Then, experience the two working together synergistically and creatively. You will learn how anything around you can spark an idea to create a masterpiece in hair design. See color and cut merge as one strong image of your creative signature. By the time you complete this course, you will begin to find inspiration in even the most ordinary objects.
Course Format:
Take your artistry to the next level by developing and executing high fashion designs that creatively unite cut and color. In this class you will:
  • Explore color patterning and blocking as ways to enhance design
  • Create a framework for the creative discovery process with fashion-influenced storyboards
  • Utilize fashion, art and architectural theory to design an original work of hair design

Recommended Prerequisite: Color Foundations, Core Of It All and or three years salon cutting and coloring experience
