Biolage, VH1 and Self Celebrate Hollywood’s Most Wanted Bodies

On March 15th, Biolage rolled out the green carpet to toast the annual Most Wanted Bodies issue of Self, and the highly-rated accompanying TV special on VH1.  Guests included American Idol winner, Self cover girl and Biolage-fan Carrie Underwood, Vin Diesel (The Pacifier) and Aisha Tyler (Friends, Ghost Whisperer) and even stars of the New York Rangers.  Guests enjoyed Biolage “Mint Condition” cocktails and everyone left with samples of Biolage volumatherapie and special samples of NEW Matrix Men. Singing Sensation Fergie’s Vavoom-ed Birthday

In L.A. on March 28th, celebrity favorite Vavoom sponsored People Magazine's red-carpet birthday bash in honor of Black Eyed Peas lead singer Fergie. Stars from the cast of NBC’s Las Vegas - Molly Simms, Vanessa Marcil and Josh Duhamel – plus , Shannon Elizabeth (American Pie) , Matrix Business Development Manager Ron Westfall, and others posed with Vavoom for the paparazzi. Biolage Accesses Hollywood

On March 29th, Matrix Celebrity Stylist Enzo Angileri was seen by more than 4 million viewers on NBC’s Access Hollywood giving hairstyle advice as part of their special report on 'Looking Good Over 40.'  Shot at the exclusive Yuki Sharoni Salon in Beverly Hills, Enzo interpreted the latest trends such as ponytails, casual up-dos and sideswept long hair for fortysomethings - with style icons such as Diane Lane, Madonna, Demi Moore and Terry Hatcher serving as real-life and red carpet examples of how to get it right. His companion in the segment was Biolage Complete Control Extra Hairspray - accompanied by a full complement of Biolage on his styling station.

Ellen Degeneres Loves Matrix Haircare


How do we know? Because she declared her love onstage at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel last week in front of 1500 leading women in communications! Ellen served as host of the Matrix Awards honoring outstanding women in the communications industry, and opened her remarks with a tribute to other things named Matrix that she loves including the Matrix trilogy and Matrix shampoo and conditioner!  In addition to those comments, Matrix hair care was a part of the event as new Biolage smooththerapie shampoo and conditioner were in all 1500 gift bags and in the awards program!

So Color and Matrix Men On Location in NYC


Matrix hair color devotee Michelle Johnson, who has been the lead stylist on hit films including “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”, is now styling A-listers Colin Farell, and Academy Award Nominees Edward Norton and Samantha Morton and Academy Award Winner Jon Voight on the set of “Pride and Glory”. Michelle has requested several Matrix lines including SoColor and Matrix Men to use on-set.

“I just tried the new Men’s shampoo on Edward Norton last week. He came in the make-up/hair trailer this morning, found the Style Power Shampoo and washed his own hair. I guess he likes it and I love the smell.”

Academy Hosts Fresh Air Fund Event

The Fresh Air Fund’s Career Awareness Program is designed to help New York City youngsters understand the relationship between school and work and how to make choices that will determine their futures.  In New York City, 12- to 14-year-olds participate in job shadowings that offer close-up views of business and a career fair.  For the second year in a row, the Matrix Global Academy has participated in this very worthy program. The students did a 2 hour job shadowing with Academy Senior Manager, Meredith Jacoby (pictured left) and learned about the salon industry, Matrix and how the Academy is run.

Salon Industry’s First Online Job Site Goes Live

Once again, Matrix.com is ahead of the pack. Starting April 1, salon owners have a place on Matrix.com to find fresh creative talent for their salons: Job.link. This new feature allows Club Matrix members to post job openings so salon professionals everywhere can search the country for their dream job through Matrix.com. With more than 200 jobs posted in the first two days the site is a hit already.  Beginning in May, Job.link will be live for stylists to search and post their resumes for their dream job.
