February 2007 - Matrix And Celebrity Stylist Mark Townsend in WWD Friday

WWD announces Matix's newest celebrity stylist spokesperson, Mark Townsend. Mark is one of the top celebrity and editorial stylists working today, with clients that include Penelope Cruz, Natalie Portman, Rachel Weisz, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen - plus Reese Witherspoon, who he gave a glam makeover to for the 2007 Golden Globe Awards, and Cate Blanchett, who he styled for the SAG Awards last Sunday. Mark will support key product launches like Vavoom, and all red-carpet initiatives for Matrix.

Before he started his freelance career, Mark apprenticed with Danilo and Oribe, was a hairstylist at Sally Hershberger in LA. Mark is an ideal spokesperson for Matrix because he works with some of Hollywood's most talented and glamorous actresses, his work is fresh and beautiful, and most importantly - while he works independently with celebrities and on editorial shoots, his roots are in the salon and he is very in touch with what motivates and inspires salon professionals AND their clients.
