Matrix Celebrity Stylist MarkTownsend gave Cate Blanchett her award winning look at the 2007 SAG Awards on Sunday, January 28th. Blanchett was notable on the red carpet for her sparkling Armani Prive column gown and modern chignon. According to Townsend, â€œCate's look was a very modern take on a classic style. I was inspired by the neckline of her gorgeous dress and wanted to keep her hair up.â€ Cate and Mark collaborated on the final look, which featured loose hairs around her face to soften the style, while keeping lots of texture in the chignon to give it an edge.

For the 2007 Directors Guild of America Awards on February 4th in Century City, CA, Matrix celebrity stylist Mark Townsend had the opportunity to work with "Ugly Betty" star America Ferrera.
