I love this product! It lifts wonderfully with no brassy tones! Since using this lightener ive had to tone less and it makes the hair feel better than when it did using previous lighteners such as v lights.

I do not like this lightener! I have been a stylist for over 8 years and never had as many problems lifting a clients color as I have with this product, even with following the manufacturers direction. I will go back to my usual brand.

Terrible!!! It has completely damaged 3 clients of ours so far! Completely unacceptable! I love Matrix products but pulled this from our back bar.

Light Master is amazing! Quick results, even lightening, beautiful condition. You are even able to play with the mixing ratio to allow for different techniques (more lightener for thicker application for balayage, more developer for thinner application for on the scalp lightening) For those of you who are saying it is damaging, make sure you are fully assessing the client's texture and porosity and adjust the strength of developer accordingly. Also remember, don't use heat! VLight and Light Master are designed to work at room temperature!

Im not really sure what every one else is doing to have this stuff fry there hair but I just used it the other day on my self and I mixed 2 scoops of the lightner with 3 1/2 oz of 30 Vol developer and did a heavy high light and left it on my hair of 50 mins. My hair is a natural 5 level and I had about 2 inch of regrowth and the rest of my hair is faded from a 5M socolor. My hair is in perfect condition and very light blonde I love it. I have also used it on every one of my clients who is going lighter and I have not had any problems so I would rethink the mixing parts if you are having issues or not leaving it on as long.

light master is AWFUL! for only being on the hair for 15 mins and it fried one of my clients hair and my managers hair! VERY UNHAPPY!!!

I have used this on my own hair and on clients hair and have mixed feelings. It worked fantastically on my hair which has matrix hd on it but fried my clients hair to the point it was falling out in clumps... It also got very hot to the touch.

ZERO STARS. Whos ever idea this was is a complete idiot. It fried and burned my manager's hair to the point it was falling out!! Her hair had been colored once with color sync and that's it, it was left on for maybe 20 minutes if that. Now her hair is ruined thanks to the "light master" what a stupid name. This needs to be banned and or discontinued, it sucks.

Very unhappy with this product. My coworker used it on me and after 15 min it got extreamly hot to the toutch it was rinsed imiditaly and my hair come out in handfulls we falowed the manufactures directions. THe only product previously used on my hair was matrix colorsync. Light master was a complete disaster. It will never be used in my salon ever again

I've always had trouble lightening my hair cause of my color over color using lots of red and vilet tones...I didn't have it on for more than 10 mins than it started to burn(didn't read the back of tub and no1 use heat to process it after) but even after 10 mins I had perfect highlights...just wondering if my scalp was to sentive for the srengh of the lightener cause I am pregnant...but I've never had any problems before esspically cause it was off the scalp

This new lightner is an awesome product! Very conditioning, makes corrective coloring and high lift colors quick and easy!! Perfect for a fast paced salon. I have been using this product for about a week now and I, as well as my fellow stylist, are absolutely in love!!!
