Dry hair is often difficult to detangle, lacking softness and shine. Inspired by the aloe plant that never seems to dry, Biolage HYDRASOURCE Conditioning Balm helps optimize moisture balance for healthy looking hair. Give her up to 15X more moisturized hair after just one application*.
This product was previously known as Biolage Hydratherapie Conditioning Balm.
*When using the system of HYDRASOURCE Shampoo, Conditioning Balm and Leave-In Tonic vs. a non-conditioning shampoo.
- Conditions and detangles while adding softness
- Seals the cuticle to lock the moisture
- Formula is suitable for color-treated hair
HOW TO USE:
Apply to wet hair and leave in 1-3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. We recommend that you pair HYDRASOURCE Conditioner with HYDRASOURCE Shampoo for extra moisture and hydration.

Like I skipped conditioner. Puffy, dry, undefined,Not sure why so many people love this. The only use I have for it is for a stray day when I need to skip protein. Possibly as a cowash (followed by a better conditioner).
My hair is wavy, dry, and very low porosity. Mostly fine hair, but with some mixed textures as well. I wash twice per week, and use heat 1-2 times per week. My hair is healthy, but can be dry. It is not chemically treated.
My hair also, in general, likes protein, which may be why this is a HUGE dud for me. Smells amazing, so I wish it worked. But my hair looks dry and DULL after use. It's kind of pooffy/poodly and my waves (2b) are undefined, and frizzy. It also felt dry.
More volume, but that's pointless if it's undefined. It's very much as if I skipped conditioner entirely.
My hair was feeling rather dry, which is why I picked this up to try. I found it less moisturizing that my usual conditioners (and I was looking for something a tad MORE moisturizing than they are; so this was especially disappointing). My usual conditioners are Joico Kpak (if I'm straightening) or Nexxus Hydralight (if I'm allowing my waves free reign).
I don't know why this is marketed as hydrating or moisturizing. It does neither. But it smells nice.
(I also tried the Biolage Smoothing Conditioner, which was better but still left me a LITTLE puffiness, and wasn't perfect at encouraging curl. But that was seems more like an actualy conditioner.)

Thirsty hair from
Lightweight moistureI love this hair balm. My hair is coarse and frizzy but fine and this smoothed it very well. Big fan of the fact that it is silicone free because I feel like it penetrates better into the hair instead of just sitting on top. Automatic repurchase for me. I alternate it with a protein mask and my hair feels great for the first time in a long time.

Not enough moistureIt’s a bit better than the the Detangling Conditioner, but still not enough, my hair ends up feeling quite dry.

My ONLY ConditionerI have been using this conditioner for YEARS. And I mean for probably over a decade. Maybe closer to two decades. Don't you ever discontinue it! It is the only conditioner that I can use daily that gives me the moisture of a deep conditioner but doesn't weigh my hair down. I love it. And it smells amazing.

Amazing repair of severly dry, oveprocess hair!I bought this at an Ulta store at the recommendation of one of their stylist. So happy I did. The shampoo and balm completely transformed my colored, overprocessed hair into soft, smooth, shiny, easy to style condition after the first use. It's an amazing hair repair product. I've tried so many different shampoos and conditioners and this is the absolutely best product I've ever used. Thank you Biolage!
