XXL Big 'N Soft Extra Hydrating & Volumizing Mousse

I love this product! It works so well to hold the hair, without making it crunchy or anything like that. My hair is also super soft which I love! A little goes a long way with this product too so you don’t need very much for all your hair! Smells pretty good too! Overall this is awesome

The Matrix food for soft mousse gives nice soft come volume for my ways hair. It defines my curls some as well and the hold lasts the whole day. A little goes a long way and it works great for wavy hair.

This mousse smells nice and gives my hair noticeable volume while still feeling soft. I did notice a slight texture after styling, so it didn’t feel completely residue-free to me. It’s not heavy, but the finish wasn’t as weightless as I expected.

Same as the name, it keeps my hair full of volume and last a long time. It’s easy to style, and my hair feel very soft after applied it. Giving a natural look.

I like this product so far. I have 4c hair and it did define my curls. I'm not sure about the hold because I decided to blow dry my hair. I did feel a cast on the hair while wet, which went away when my hair dried. It did give my hair more volume as well as more control. My blow out felt lightweight but full. I'm not sure how I feel about the hydrating piece which is why I gave it a 4. I will continue to use it.

This hair mousse is amazing! There is so much product and I love the pump style top. This helps my natural waves come out. It washes out easily and doesn’t leave my hair feeling crunchy. It actually makes my hair feel very soft. The scent is great and lingers in my hair for hours! I recommend if you are looking for a good hair mousse, that doesn’t weigh down your hair or make it crunchy feeling!

This mousse is different from others I have used. The density of the foam is more liquid but airy and I feel like I needed less product to achieve the same result and volume than others. I loved the way my hair looked and felt, good volume and soft to the touch.

This product is the best for maintaining the waves we want in our hair. I'm a little sick, so I'm not showing you how it turned out because my face isn't well. It gives my hair perfect volume, even though it's straight. The scent is pleasant and doesn't leave a bad feeling; on the contrary, I like how it smells. I want to try other products from this brand soon, and I'll be buying other types of hair treatments.

The first thing I absolutely loved is the scent of this mousse. I love for my hair to smell nice and this brings that perk. Secondly I love that I can see how much product is left in the bottle - nothing worse than a mouse running out and having no back-up. A+ for the thoughtful packaging. Now, my hair is 2B/2C and very absorbent of humidity. I find this mouse held it together quite well the times I used it. I also used it when I did a slicked back ponytail to keep my fly-away antennas down and it did the trick. The hair stayed in place all night. The texture is not sticky and is easy to smooth out throughout the hair. Overall I loved this mouse and will keep it in my product rotation going forward. Such a good find!

Love this product it made my hair really soft and shiny. It also gave me lots of volume, which is something I desperately need, as I just had a baby and have a lot of postpartum hair loss. Made my hair feel luscious again.

Food for Soft Volumizing Mousse works okay. I have thin hair and I tried it as per the directions and it left my hair a bit crunchy-feeling. I tried it with more wet hair and while it left it way less crunchy and much softer, it didn’t volumize as much. While the product isn’t sticky on my hands or in my hair, as a girl who doesn’t like the feel of har products and rarely uses them, I do have to say this product felt light and made my hair still look natural. It washed out well, but I can’t say it did what I wanted it to.

I actually loved this product! It dissolves very quickly when you rub it into the roots of your hair (that’s why you can’t really see anything in the picture). It gives you more volume without needing to use a blow dryer which is really convenient. It also smells AMAZING! I can’t wait to start adding this product to my after-shower routine!

I thought this product was very lightweight and didn’t feel like it left any residue in my hair! I used it right out of the shower and let my hair air dry. I’m not sure how much volume it added, but I liked how my hair looked after. One thing I wish they included was how to use it for different hairstyles- I have wavy hair that I can style more straight or more curly, so I wasn’t sure if I should try to scrunch this product into my hair, or comb it through for best results.

This product is amazing! I used too much at first try because I didn’t know how powerful one pump would be! I have thick fine hair and this makes my hair feel weightless but hold a great shape. The dispenser really gives a great amount with one to two pumps being the maximum I need for my length. Great price for the value. The smell is also amazing, a little sweet but still clean.

This product smells amazing and adds some nice grit to my super silky hair that helps create volume. It doesn’t weigh my hair down or leave it feeling crunchy at all. It doesn’t make my hair magically stay curled, but I don’t fault this product because my silky straight hair cannot hold a style no matter what. It was easy to use, adds some volume for a blowout, and smells great. Not life changing for me but very good!

The Matrix Food For Soft XXL Volumizing Mousse lived up to its name! My first attempt was to apply to damp hair and diffuse, and if you have any curl, do as they say and let your hair air dry (big frizz)!! My repeated uses I applied to damp hair and air dried, curl without the crunch I had. The product dispenses from a pump bottle into a light foam with a pleasant scent (not too strong and not too perfumed). It did add volume, without the weight, so overall happy. At the end of the day my hair was still in check, yet natural. I have other products I like better, but this one gets things done. I received this product at no cost to me in exchange for my honest review.

This mousse adds a good amount of texture and volume to my hair without being heavy or crunchy. I use it when my hair is wet and then diffuse to get even more volume! Love how soft it is, one star off only because it didn’t control frizz very well.

I’ve used this volumizing mousse a few times now! My hair is naturally straight, however it doesn’t have much volume and it frizzes easily. I was excited to give this a try. The first time I used it, I just blow dried my hair straight like I usually do. The mousse feels a bit sticker than others I’ve tried, both in my hand and in my hair. It definitely did provide some extra volume to my hair, but also made my hair feel a little heavier compared to to other products I’ve tried. I also tried it in addition to curling my hair, using my air wrap. I know this product isn’t intended for curl, but wanted to try it anyways. Definitely needs extra product to maintain curl hold, but still gave my hair some extra volume which was nice. No change to the frizz I experience. In both instances, I did find it a bit challenging to blow dry my hair using a round brush because the mousse made my hair a bit stickier? But the stickiness did go way once dried. It also smells very nice! Nothing overpowering at all. The packaging feels typical for this type of product, I like the pump which dispenses a nice amount of product! It’s a little hard to read the directions on the bottle with the white text against the green. Bottom line, it definitely helped provide volume but didn’t completely wow me. I’d like to try it along with using some of my other of my products, before I decide on purchasing it for full price.

I like how this product adds texture and styling assistance without being heavy or crunchy. It smells good and doesn’t weigh my hair down so I can use it without being worried about my hair being crunchy.

I have naturally curly hair, but it’s very thick and long, which weighs down my curls. This mousse defined each curl and boosted overall volume. It does increase softness and shine as promised. I also appreciate that it is alcohol-free and has the added benefit of heat protection.

As a black woman with Locs, I’m always intentional about the products I use. This mousse has truly won me over it gave my Locs volume without weighing them down or leaving them with residue. What stood out to me immediately( besides the results )is the amazing scent. It’s fresh and sweet, not overpowering. Just enough to make everyone take notice XXL Volumizing Mousse had no stiffness or flaking I kept my curls in all week with no wash day needed.

This bottle is larger than I expected, and I didn't find the mousse had a strong scent ot anything. I feel that kept my curls tamed, but I do wish it included some humidity-fighting power.
