Best Ever!

I bought both shampoo & conditioner about a month ago, along with my usual brand. I absolutely LOVE this conditioner (it smells great too)!! I live in Florida where it gets very humid during the summer months, which means my hair tends to become coarse, brittle, frizzy and basically hard to manage. My hair is very thick and below my shoulders. When I use Matrix Total Results Sleek Conditioner my hair is soft and manageable. It feels awesome! I've experimented to know for sure whether it was the product or something else. Every time I've used something other than this conditioner, after a day my hair becomes hard to manage and just doesn't feel that great. Please....Please....Please DON'T ever change the formula!!! #Imsoldforlife!

Where is the silk and wheat protein?

Even I know as a true former Matrix user that this product definately needs the silk amino acids and wheat protein put back in this product.
I can't say that it's totally bad, but it does moisturize to a point that my hair just pops when I run my hand or a brush through it. That usually means something is off balance.
I have to combat it with the Redken Cat or Chi Keratin Mist. It helps somewhat. And then I have the issue with the residue it leaves behind as well. Not the cleanest feeling.

Heart broken over awful new formula

I am so disappointed that the formula has been changed. I’ve been using it for almost 20 years. I bought some on Amazon, and sent it back. (It’s now yellow, stinks, and makes my hair so dry and gross!) I thought perhaps someone had tainted it. Bought from a different vender, and it was great. Well, that vendor is now out of the original formula, and so bought it again on Amazon…only to be disappointed again. I came to this site and see that I’m not the only one who’s super sad. Please, bring back my beloved favorite formula…I’m absolutely heartbroken that my trusty beautiful conditioner has changed.

It’s terrible since you changed the formula

Why did you change the product formula? I have used it and loved it for years but will have to find something new. It’s horrible, scent and conditioning results are not what they used to be.

I have used the shampoo and conditioner for over 20 years. I just opened a new bottle of conditioner today and was totally surprised! I thought Amazon was the culprit. When I came on here and found that there’s a new formula sent and etc.. I realized that there was a change. How in the world would you want to change something after 20+ years? It was such a beloved product. I hate to change anything but I may have to. The sent the texture and the results don’t even come close to the old formula. I don’t think if I had never used the old product. I would be impressed with this new one.

The formula is not good. They should not have changed. Don’t understand why a great product cannot just be left alone. Wasted $48 on a large bottle. Will be switching to redken. Hopefully they are smart enough to keep the formula as is

Bummer - new formula odor is too strong-can’t use

I have used mega sleek conditioner for more years than I can remember. I bought 2 liters last month to stock up so I wouldn’t run out. Imagine my surprise opening one of them in the shower and finding a strong smell and a totally different color- I thought maybe it had gone bad so I opened the other one to find it also yellow with a string odor so came here to find out what happened and found many others with the same experience. No idea why they decided to change the formula that wasn’t broken? But now I’m stuck with 2 bottles that I can’t use and the stuff is NOT cheap. After so many years using this, this makes me sad and I wish the bottle had had some sort of announcement that it was a new formula- maybe I would’ve only wasted my money on one bottle if I had known and not two.
