Hate the smell. But love the outcome.

I absolutely love this product. I dont love the smell. Although the smell disappears once its in the hair and dried. But the outcome is awesome. Great shine and frizz free! For future users...make sure you shake really well before applying!

False protection don’t buy!!!

I’ll start with stating that I am a hair stylist of 32 years and I’ve been loving and have been impressed with all the new products by Matrix. Not this one. I used this in the salon and had fabulous results. My clients purchased this as retail from me because they loved it, too. All good until yesterday. I had a client come back after purchases and using at home. Her hair was 3 inches shorter and looked burnt. She had only changed one thing about her routine, she added this. As a thermal protector this is garbage. Her ends were crispy and broken. She washes and quickly flat irons 2times weekly. I believe this product is responsible for the major breakage. Her hair is a healthy 7n all over and 5 weeks to cover grey roots. I feel responsible because I recommend and sold this to her. What to do?!

Dead animal smell and triggered a cough after use.

I’d give this zero stars if possible. This product smells so awful, like a dead mouse! This putrid smell was even there after mixing and shaking the bottle. I’m not sure what the ingredients are causing this but I should have read other reviews complaining about the same things. I also got a bad cough after breathing this is while blow drying. I followed directions as told. I’m a professional and would never use this on a client. I am actually disgusted this is still being sold with all the smell complaints!
No, I do not recommend this product.

Definitely keeps my hair not frizzy! After moving back to Texas the humidity always gets to my hair quick but once I started using this product it keeps my hair maintained and smells great as well! The product is light weight and isn’t too

This anti-frizz oil is the best thing I’ve ever received! I love it so much. I’ll be buying it forever! First off, the effectiveness is incredible! I struggle with a lot of frizz, and this controls it so well. Second, the scent is DELICIOUS! Now people are always telling me that my hair smells amazing, and it’s all thanks to this oil! I love it.

The coverage is great. The results were amazing! Left no residue. Door great into my hair and was not greasy at all which a lot of the mostly make my hair very greasy!! It felt great. Washed out easily.

This is my first time using a product like this and a really like it! Doesn’t have strong smell, my type of hair is very frizzy so I was exited to use this product and the product works beacuse I live in a humidity city so works perfect, my hair last a lot because of the product, really recommend.

This anti frizz oil is the perfect combination to my hair care routine. It leaves my hair feeling soft and I usually use it on the ends of my hair. It doesn't leave my hair greasy and it smells nicely. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a clean scent

I’m not sure I love this. Firstly it’s heat activated. I don’t use a lot of heat on mine or my daughters hair, but do the sake of giving it a try, and doing it correctly, I blow dried both of our hair. My daughter’s hair is notorious for frizz. She has 3c curls, and this didn’t help at all. She came home from school and it was just as frizzy as any other day. It’s not heavy, but it does leave a “product” feel in the hair, but that’s kind of expected. Overall I probably would buy this again.

We understand your hesitation, especially since the product requires heat activation and didn't provide the frizz control your daughter needs for her 3c curls. For curly hair, especially a 3c pattern, moisture is the most important factor in fighting frizz throughout the day. If a product is designed primarily for a blow-dry finish, it may not have the deep hydration or "hold" required to keep curls defined and frizz-free once the hair is exposed to the elements at school.

As I get older my hair gets frizzier and more annoying. I've tried a few different products to help this issue and for the most part they've been ok. This product definitely worked a bit better than some of the others I've used in the past. The spray itself is pretty thick for being "liquid", and it spreads through my hair easily. It doesn't weigh my hair down in a bad way, just enough to keep the flyaways down and controlled. It smells really good, and even works a bit without the heat activation, though obviously it works better with the heat. Makes my hair look and feel smoother and nicer.

Weightless wonder for sleek healthy looking hair

A little goes a long way in the small bottle of hair bliss ! Love the smell like a high end salon product for everyday use. It went on with a slick not sticky coating and provided maximum shine with the frizz from the outdoor humidity. After days of use I didn’t find any sticky residue buildup or greasy hair look, just a beautiful shine. I didn’t find it drying in any way nor did it effect drying time if anything it helped speed it up . My hair felt weightless and soft afterwards. I even use a little on the finish look for maximum results.

I am in love with this product. I receive so many compliments when I apply this to my hair and blow dry. My hair has never looked so shiny, smooth and frizz free. I have thin, fine hair and this didn’t make it feel heavy or weighed down. Obsessed! It has a pleasant, nutty scent but I saw some reviews of people complaining about the scent. It is no problem once it is applied to the hair. I am in love!

Ok this is my first time using this product and it’s ok. I think I have to use more of it to get the full effect. I just used the blow dryer and not the flat iron so maybe that’s it. I don’t know. But this product is ok. I think next time around i should use the flat iron. But I’m putting in a ponytail so I can tell then.

I was impressed with this topcoat product. It does what it promises, although I can’t attest to it lasting the claimed ‘96 hours’ as noted on the bottle, I can’t attest say that I’ve tried it both with and without heat and it works both ways! It definitely keeps frizz away too, smoothing the hair shaft down with the added shine benefit. It works better than spray shine hair products I’ve bought in the past and has more staying power. I would recommend this product! I received this incentivized product in exchange for my honest review.

I’m not even gonna lie cause I’d hate not to be honest in my review. This smells amazing but it’s supposed to be self heating and it definitely is not. I don’t like the way that it feels on my hair either. I like a lot of this brands other products. Just not this.

My hair which used to be dry, brittle, and difficult to manage has now improved significantly. After using this product just a few times, my hair falls into place perfectly. Incentivized - 96H Anti-Frizz Topcoat by Matrix - it prevented my hair from having a frizz - I applied a straightener to my hair and also blow dryer it . The results were outstanding - the bottle pump was easy to open and it was easy to apply the product - translucent and no stickiness . Recommended .

I was worried as someone with fine hair that this would weigh my hair down or make it greasy, but that was not an issue at all. This definitely tames the flyaways and keeps your hair looking smooth. Smells amazing! My one complaint is I go for cleaner products and would prefer something non-toxic.

This is a lot packed in a little bottle. You don't need much and it covers a good amount of hair (mine is about medium). Using this before I blow dry has made a difference. Even better when I straightening or curl my hair it, keeps it tamed.
