Sad about the change

Extremely disappointed in the new formula after using this and food for soft along with the serum, I find myself searching on Google for known alternatives now. This definitely does not work for smoothing the way it used to. Unlike other reviews the smell did not bother me but otherwise it’s a total let down and I won’t be buying anymore. It’s unfortunate I just bought two large bottles for as expensive as they are!

I am so mad 😡 I’ve been using matrix mega sleek for YEARS and I go to buy my favorite hair care and you have changed the formula!?! The smell is atrocious! Shame on you for changing. Looks like I’ll be finding a new brand! You are going to lose money on this. Absolutely ridiculous!

The new formula sleek shampoo/Conditioner is horrendous, the smell is so overwhelming it causes nausea. The added dyes do more harm then good, removing the shea butter, has wrecked this amazing shampoo conditioner combo, I have recommended this line to my clients for 10 years, I can no longer do that, as they have all returned it to me. This is more then disappointing. Hair is now frizzy, hard to brush. Where it did not used to be.
How to fix this issue, Go back to the amazing original formula. It was wonderful, smooth, made long hair look amazing.

I love the matrix smoothing shampoo. I use it with the matrix, smoothing conditioner, and the matrix hair mask. It smells absolutely amazing and not only is it lightweight but it doesn’t leave your hair greasy or with flakes and residue. It leaves my hair feeling so soft and shiny and no tangles. It even tamed my ridiculous frizz that was so bad. I wish I had a picture to show for that, but I do not unfortunately but just know this product does work and it does not dry your hair out!

The new fragrance is awful! I now have an entire liter of shampoo and I hate the way it smells. It needs to have huge letters on the bottle telling customers the scent is completely different, so we don’t make the mistake of purchasing a product that is so stinky . I am so disappointed.

I loved the scent of this but can be overpowering if not used to strong fragrances. It was easy to use and helped a lot with my frizz. I felt that it left a shine to my hair after used.

Loyalty down the drain

I’ve been using the mega sleek shampoo and conditioner combo for probably close to 20 years at this point and was so confused with my latest repurchase. I kept looking at the bottles to make sure I wasn’t losing my mind. Both products are so wildly different than before. The color, texture, viscosity, scent, all different. I’m not sure who decided that this was even remotely the same product as before. My hair feels heavily, but also dry and brittle. I’m so upset that I bought my usual large bottles of this, only to be stuck with this grossly disappointing product. Not looking forward to have to find a replacement product.
