Your secret weapon for high-impact blonding services on foils, balayage and double processing

Going blonde has made a sparkling comeback, so it’s no surprise we’ll be seeing blonde shades from ash to platinum trending throughout the year. For professionals looking to help clients go from dark to light, achieving a successful lift is a balancing act. With Matrix’s new BlondeMax 9 +, there’s guaranteed fast processing without the sacrifice of hair health and tonal consistency, ensuring we take client’s hair to the next level.

Matrix Blonding Elevates with Oil Powered Technology

Designed to provide up to nine levels of lift while maximizing neutralization, BlondeMax 9+ concentrates lightening actives to boost efficacy and deliver Matrix's cleanest, brightest lift yet. While High Riser revolutionized the Matrix portfolio by safely lifting levels 1-4 (dark brown to black) to platinum in a single service, BlondeMax 9+ lifts levels to blonde using oil powered technology. The oil in the lightener prevents ‘dusting’ while oil in the developer boosts lifting efficacy and maintains curl definition. It also keeps your client’s hair fibers “wet” and active longer, leading to a more moisturized and predictable lift. Together, the lightener and developer duo mixes and distributes evenly, allowing the product to stay exactly where you paint it.

Hair Colorists are Commonly Faced with the Following Challenges in the Chair:

  1. Hair Integrity and Breakage: Lightening hair involves breaking down the hair’s natural pigment which can also weaken the protein bonds within the fiber.
  2. Uneven lift: This occurs when some areas of hair lighten more than others, creating a “leopard print” that can ruin the final tone.
  3. Brassiness: Getting hair past those shades of orange to a clean pale yellow without over-processing is one of the biggest struggles with lifting from dark to light hair.
  4. Processing Speed: A lightener that "runs away" (lifts too quickly) can cause damage before the stylist can finish applying it to the whole head.

BlondeMax 9+ protects the hair fiber during the chemical process, maintains hair integrity and prevents breakage. The product also saves time in the chair and provides a clean, neutralized canvas so that toning doesn’t look “muddy” or fade to an unattractive orange. Use in combination with Matrix’s Super Sync Demi-Permanent colors to add shine and tone, and cleanse with Matrix's Instacure Build-A-Bond Mighty Bonds Shampoo and Mighty Care Conditioner to nourish and repair weakened hair bonds.
