I bought both shampoo & conditioner about a month ago, along with my usual brand. I absolutely LOVE this conditioner (it smells great too)!! I live in Florida where it gets very humid during the summer months, which means my hair tends to become coarse, brittle, frizzy and basically hard to manage. My hair is very thick and below my shoulders. When I use Matrix Total Results Sleek Conditioner my hair is soft and manageable. It feels awesome! I've experimented to know for sure whether it was the product or something else. Every time I've used something other than this conditioner, after a day my hair becomes hard to manage and just doesn't feel that great. Please....Please....Please DON'T ever change the formula!!! #Imsoldforlife!

Where is the silk and wheat protein?

Even I know as a true former Matrix user that this product definately needs the silk amino acids and wheat protein put back in this product.
I can't say that it's totally bad, but it does moisturize to a point that my hair just pops when I run my hand or a brush through it. That usually means something is off balance.
I have to combat it with the Redken Cat or Chi Keratin Mist. It helps somewhat. And then I have the issue with the residue it leaves behind as well. Not the cleanest feeling.

The packaging is nice. It smelled good and left my hair soft without residue. But it was hard to remember not to add it to my roots. I didn’t notice any issues if I did though.

Terrible update to the formula

I’ve been an avid Mega Sleek user for over 20 years. I have long, thick hair and this product has been amazing until recently. It is obvious that the formula has changed, and now there are dyes in it (not sure why that would be necessary for hair product). I now dread brushing my hair after using the conditioner. My hair doesn’t feel soft, feels super dry and tangled. Please change back to the original formula. Unfortunately with the new formula, I can no longer use your product.

The new formula does not work near as good as the original shea butter formula! Please switch it back this has been my go to for 20 years!! It smelt amazing and de tangled so easy. The new formula makes my hair feel dry and does not de tangle.

I am so disappointed in this new formula. I don’t like the strong smell- .like I’ve got coconut scent sunscreen in my hair.. I’ve used this product for over 15 years. I feel like I’ve been bamboozled. Why did you make this change? The results of using the new conditioner is not the same. My hair is now flat without body, unlike the previous formula. Can I get a refund? Or can you send me the old formula?

Hydrating and less frizz

I’ve been using this conditioner along with the smoothing shampoo. I have wavy hair, and typically after I wash my hair, it gets frizzy almost immediately. After using this the last month, I’ve definitely noticed a reduction in frizz after washing and especially the next day. I’ve also found that the longer you use this line, the better it works. It looks shinier and feels more hydrated. The shampoo and conditioner bottles are almost identical, and I’ve definitely confused them a couple times in shower, so I’d recommend differentiating them a little more.

What did you do?! Why would you change the formula on the shampoo and conditioner when it was wonderful from the start? The new formula is not nearly as good as the original and we are highly disappointed. The price went up and the results went down. Bring back the old formulas!

I LOVED the original formula and have used it for years… the new formulas leaves my hair stringy, limp, and lifeless. The old formula was thicker and more moisturizing, and it always left my hair shiny and soft. If you want to make a new product and charge more, then leave the old one alone and sell BOTH.

If you’re looking for frizz control…

Before I even put this in my hair the smell took me to the beach with a hint of “62”. I’ve used this and the shampoo until there wasn’t hardly any left. This conditioner is creamy and somewhat of a thick texture. I start about midway down my hair and work the conditioner down and then rinse. This conditioner combined with the matching shampoo leaves my hair freeze free every time.

Inferior to the old formula

What a disappointment and an inferior product. I have been using Mega Sleek conditioner (with Shea Butter) since back when it was called Sleek Look, so at least over a decade. I was thrilled when I finally found the Shea butter formula because it was the only conditioner that gave my hair enough moisture, slip, and sleekness without making it feel filmy or dried out like hay. Back before I found the old Mega Sleek with Shea butter conditioner, I had probably spent thousands of dollars trying to find just the right conditioner for my mixed hair type that I straighten regularly. This new formula with jojoba oil makes my hair feel filmy, limp, and (ironically) dry simultaneously. It’s yellow and runny, has an overpowering unnatural scent, and doesn’t absorb into my locks like the old formula. Worst of all, it doesn’t leave my hair bouncy, shiny, or flowing like the old shea butter formula. Why change a good thing? Why not split this line into two options to keep offering the old formula alongside the new? I now fear I’ll need to spend thousands more dollars in wasted conditioners searching for something else to replace the Mega Sleek conditioner I used to love. Bye Matrix; You lost my loyalty.

Very light conditioner but great at keeping my hair smooth. My hair feels so soft even after just rinsing it. Smells just like the hair mask and it lingers post-shower as well. The only downside for me is that I have very long hair so I basically used up half the bottle in one week. Unfortunately because of how much conditioner I would use I wouldn’t have this product in my budget for repurchasing but I still recommend it since it performs really well even at day 2 hair.

Wow! This Matrix smoothie mask is amazing! The smell was wonderful but not overpowering. The formula was easy to apply to my hair and rinsed easily. It helped with the frizz of my hair, and made my long hair easy to brush after my shower. My hair feels clean and soft, and I'm able to use less products in my hair for frizzyness.

This conditioner was a little thinner than I was expecting and although it smells amazing, it didn't seem to hydrate and soften my hair like I wanted. I also didn't see as much of a difference with frizz as I witnessed with the hair mask in this line. I also had to use quite a bit to cover the ends of my hair so I feel like the bottle would not last me very long.

She's a thick one

I know this is a conditioner from a product line geared towards firizz control. But she thick.
I honestly took away a star because of how much my back side broke out. And you might shower in a different order than I do, but I definitely recommend scrubbing up your backside after you rinse your hair, bcause something in this formula just breaks me out. All that aside, the conditioner is amazing. It smells wonderful, it's a great consistency. It leaves my hair shiny and tame. I'm a big fan.

Feels like a deep conditioning treatment

I’ve got fine, thin hair and I love how nourishing and hydrating this conditioner is without weighing my hair down. It feels like I’ve done a deep conditioning treatment, leaves my hair moisturized, shiny, really soft and frizz free, even when it’s hot and humid. It makes my waves and color pop. A wide tooth comb glides right through it. I also really like the scent. 2nd day hair stays frizz free too. Love.

They changed the formula and it stinks. Also the formula is not as smooth it felt like washing with shampoo. I actually thought i messed up and bought the wrong bottle. This is so disappointing since I've used this for years. Now I'm going to have to find something new.

I tried this product out for a couple weeks just to get the feel of it. I’ve had problems with my hair & finding the right products for it but this one is amazing. I love how light weight the product is and it doesn’t way down the hair. I like the longevity it has on my hair & it lasts longer than normal. It feels soft to the touch & give my hair a little bounce and volume. Definitely a product I recommend to others

Love this conditioner. A little goes a long way! It's a thick formula and rubs into your hair so nice. Rinses out so clean, leaving the hair so soft. It smells great too! Worked great on my wavy hair and also on my girls curly hair.

The conditioner was my favorite part of the set. When I used it, I felt the texture in my hair completely change. My hair become soft and looked fuller.
