Easy Face-Framing Ponytail

Step 1: Apply a flexible,body-building hair styling jellyto the roots of damp hair, followed by smoothing hair milk to the mid-lengths and ends.

Step 2: Beginning at the nape, blow dry using a large, round brush.

Step 3: Once hair is dry, create loose waves with a large-barrel curling iron.

Step 4: Create a center part from the front hairline to the high point of the head, leaving the sides loose.

Step 5: Isolate the top/crown section and tease subsections to create height.

Step 6: Create a ponytail just above the nape and secure with an elastic. Hide the elastic by wrapping a small strand of hair around the base.

Step 7: Incorporate the crown section into the ponytail and pin it into place.

Step 8: Direct the sides over the ears and pin them into the ponytail. Allow a few pieces to fall free in order to frame the face.

Messy Chignon Holiday Updo

Step 4: Loosely twist and wrap hair from the sides of the nape section to conceal the elastic and pin into place.
