Frequently Asked Questions
How Does Open Air Pre-Bonded Compare to Light Master Pre-Bonded?
Open Air Pre-Bonded will give you slightly less lifting performance as Light Master Pre-Bonded yet has the added benefit of a whipped kaolin clay blend. The creamy texture saturates and forms to the hair’s natural bends without drying out making it ideal for brush and hand painting. Both Open Air Pre-Bonded and Light Master Pre-Bonded are pre-bonded with citric acid + glycine to keep fibers strong.
Can I Use A Bonding Additive With Open Air Pre-Bonded?
We do not recommend adding an additional bonding additive to Open Air Pre-Bonded as it could affect the lifting action and could yield undesirable results.
Can Open Air Pre-Bonded Be Used for Both On-Scalp and Off-Scalp Applications?
Open Air Pre-Bonded can be used for both on-scalp and off-scalp applications.
Will the Light Pink Color of the Product Affect the End Results?
There will be no negative impact on the lifting ability of the product, nor end results. The light pink hue will not interfere with ‘reading’ or testing a strand of hair prior to shampooing. The fun, light pink is there to help differentiate it from other lightening products.
What is the benefit of Kaolin Clay?
The benefits of kaolin clay in this formula can be seen in the product’s whipped-clay consistency and its ability to saturate and form to the natural bends in the hair. Kaolin clay holds in moisture in the formula preventing the product from drying out during application, therefore facilitating precise and even lift.
