How To Use
Apply a quarter size amount of product, lather and rinse. Follow with Anti-Breakage Conditioner and Anti-Breakage Porosity Spray. In case of contact with eyes, rinse them immediately.

I have fine thin dry damaged hair. This does exactly what it says on the bottle. My hair washes soft and feels smooth. It is definitely repairing it. I have been using it for approx a month now. I alternate between the Instacure conditioner and the Food for Soft Mask for conditioning because my hair is so so dry and I have to wash it everyday. The Food for Soft mask really provides some deep moisture. I use about an egg sized amount of Setter mousse and air dry. My hair is so porous. The texture of my hair is like cotton candy. It's that fine. This combo of products adds weight to my hair. It's healthy. I'm so very glad I switched to these products.

Poor substitute for So Long Damage

I bought this to try, because So Long Damage was discontinued. I was so sad to find that out. As soon as I opened the bottle I knew I’d need to return it!! I couldn’t even use it, because the scent was so horrible and strong that I could taste soap in my mouth!! I had the same issue with Biolage products as well! This is actually a form of allergy to the product! If you loved So Long Damage like so many of us did, DON’T BUY THIS!!

Do Not Recommend - Wrecked my Extentions

I purchased the Instacure Shampoo and Conditioner and started using it for the first time on newly installed new remy human hair 22 inch extensions and this shampoo and conditioner has been awful for my hair. It leaves my hair extremely frizzy, heavy and I really hope it hasn’t ruined and destroyed my extensions. My hair feels so greasy, frizzy and awful after using the shampoo and conditioner and I’ll be switching back to the Pureology Strength Cure shampoo and conditioner I used before that left my extensions feeling soft and healthy. I do not recommend the Instacure shampoo and conditioner. Highly disappointed. I am out the cost and hope my extensions can be saved.

The shampoo was okay, not great. The conditioner gave my hair 0 slip, my hair was tangled and struggling after use. Hair dried with a lot less curl definition than usual and felt generally dry. Maybe too much protein?

Not a comparison to so long damage product

Bring BACK the so long damage matrix product!! This is a poor substitute. No where equal to the so long damage product. It does not moisturize and keep the hair soft all day. I even read other reviews where people are saddened to see the discontinuation of the other product. Why Why discontinue such a Great product?? When something is not broke why do companies try to reinvent or change only for the worse. Will have to find another company to seek out a better product.

Why reinvent when you had a perfect product

I am so disappointed that you discontinued So Long Damage. I have not been able to find a shampoo that even comes close to it, including Insta Cure. Obviously, from reading other reviews, I'm not the only one who misses it. Please, please consider bringing So Long Damage back into your product line.

Do NOT buy, Not what I hoped for.

I have used So Long Damage for a very long time and with it being discontinued tried this. It is horrible. My hair smells and feels horrible. It is just not the quality I am used too. Really sad that I will have to find a different manufacturer for my hair care products.

Light Shampoo for Strength

This shampoo foams up a lot! So a little goes a long way. Smell is pleasant, but not overwhelming or lingering. Hair got a squeaky clean without being so squeaky it pulled on my hair. Was surprised at how it didn’t weigh my hair down for being a treatment shampoo. Actually felt like I had more volume. Did use with the conditioner from the same line.

Bring back so long damage

This product does not compare to the so long damage. I’ve used so long damage for over 15 years after a recommendation, and have been recommending to many, but this new product is a disappointment. So upset! Smells terrible, doesn’t give the same clean, smooth silky hair results.

Not what I expected

I have used So Long Damage for years and loved it, this new shampoo/conditioner feels cheap, leaving my hair dry, has an unflattering smell like cheap products, and it makes my scalp itchy. So Long Damage use to make my hair feels so hydrated, silky, and had a good clean smell. Very disappointed. Will not be buying again.

Hair looks and feels greasy:(

I was adviced to use this shampoo and conditioner by my hairdresser and was happy to try. After every use my hair feels and looks greasy within 24 hours, starts on the back of my head and after a few days concerns all hair. It does make my hair look less dry and static....

Truly great shampoo

It's rare that I love a shampoo. They tend to strip my hair down way too much. It can get frustrating. This shampoo, on the other hand, is fantastic. I'm so glad I was part of this campaign because I absolutely NEEDED a quality shampoo. The only other shampoo I found that works for my hair is impossible to find. I never tried this brand before. I even use it on my kids. We all have different hair types (4c, 3c/b, 3b/a) and it works wonders on all our scalps. I also love how a little goes a long way. I even have to use less of the conditioner compared to other brands I've tried. I'm making sure to keep stocked of this company's products. It's definitely a new staple.

Out of all 4 products from Matrix, the shampoo was my favorite! It still doesn’t compare to my all time favorite (pureology) HOWEVER this is a great product! It does a good job at cleaning my hair and also doesn’t let my scalp get oily quick either.

I’m probably going to switch to the shampoo and conditioner literally forever because not only does it smell incredible it cleans my hair so nicely gets rid of all the dirt and the conditioner doesn’t leave my hair to oily and I just think this is literally the perfect package with the pretty colors and the long-term effects

My hair is long and thick and this shampoo helped a lot with my breakage. My hair does feel much healthier after using it. It feels more hydrated. It feels softer and a little less frizzy, but I still deal with some frizziness. I also don’t love the smell of it but that’s a personal preference.

I have long fine hair that is prone to breakage so I was excited to try out this line. The shampoo is nice and refreshing and makes my hair feel light and clean. I use this product only a couple of times per week as I try not to shampoo my hair too frequently. I have a lot of breakage at the bottom half of my hair and also at my temples and after a month or so of use it’s hard to tell if there has been any noticeable improvement in the overall condition of my hair, but it hasn’t gotten any worse. I did enjoy this shampoo and will continue using it. It does have that saloon hair care scent that I’m not the biggest fan of. But it seems to fade off once hair is dry.

Honestly the scent is the best thing about this shampoo so far for me. I don’t necessarily have brittle hair but I have liked the afterfeel of this shampoo and my hair does feel healthy! The scent just lasts forever and it’s awesome!

I liked the Matrix InstaCure Anti-breakage shampoo a lot! It smells amazing, has a gentle floral scent, making me want to use it daily. The bottle design is sleek and stylish. The consistency of the shampoo is pretty thick, so you don’t need a lot. It also lathers well producing a very thorough wash for my hair.
My hair is color treated and this product really helped me improve the condition of my hair. It now looks thinker, fuller and I really loved how soft my hair becomes after using this shampoo! I can say that I get results similar to the salon.

I loved the smell of this product and thought my hair felt nice after using it. It didn’t lather as well as other shampoos I used so I did have to use more than the recommended amount for me to feel like I was actually cleaning my hair. If this lathered a little better, I’d likely repurchase.

I have been using the shantoo since I received it at the beginning of April along with the conditioner and the rest of the system. It does not have much of a fragrance however it does feel nice and my hair and I did notice a difference in ease of coming after wash. I wish it was easier to decipher which bottle of shampoo and which was conditioner by more than just a slight color change.

Has a really sweet and floral scent. It comes in a squeeze bottle which makes it really easy to get the product out. The shampoo is also infused with liquid proteins which help with strengthening the hair to reduce breakage and damage. While using the shampoo, I felt like my hair got a really good cleanse and a good lather.

The shampoo has on overall wonderful fragrance. It is not overpowering and it does linger for a couple days. It lathers fairly well the first time, but once you rinse and repeat you get a really nice lather. The shampoo really leaves my hair feeling clean. I’ve used it for over a month now and noticed that my hair has a nicer shine and looks a lot healthier.

It took me a while to review this because at first I thought it was nothing to write home about and just cute packaging. I was wrong. The scent is mild and not too overpowering. The shampoo cleanses without being overly stripping and actually give my hair a bit of a more moisturized feel even before leaving the shower. I dig it!
