Nice but not too huge on the volumizing claim

Both my partner and I are using this for extra volume, it does help keep hold but we haven’t noticed too much on the volumizing claim. At the very least it doesn’t leave our hair sticky or with any residue so we’ll continue to use it! The smell is sweet and lasts all day! It’s not drying or heavy in the hair so that’s good too!

This mousse smells great and is nice and thick. Was easy to use and apply to my hair. The pump applicator is easy to pump and use. The packaging is clear and see thru so you can see how much you have left. The one issue is it definitely leaves your hair crunchy and crusty no matter what you

This is an interesting product! There’s a lot to work with and it comes out as a foam into your hands. It’s a little bit sticky, but I think I’m getting the hang of spreading it through the hair. I like that it doesn’t spray all over the place, like a hairspray would, and it did a good job of holding my dance buns in place. The scent is not strong and the product doesn’t feel too heavy but you do need to brush it in.

I was skeptical at first since I have very fine hair and everything seems to weigh it down, this however gave my hair so much bounce and volume that I haven’t had since I was younger. I’m very pleased with the soft texture and scent and how silky it left my hair feeling. There was no sticky residue left behind either. Definitely a win win product

Sticky but lightweight

I used the mousse to do mini twists on my 4B/c hair. My hair was blow dried to stretch it and I didn’t feel that it completely reverted my hair. It does feel quite sticky though and was a sensory nightmare for me. It’s not heavy but definitely not for people who can’t handle the sticky feeling on their hands.

I really liked this mousse because it gave my hair volume without making it feel stiff, crunchy or dried out. A lot of volumizing products can make my hair feel kind of sticky, but this one felt lightweight and still made my hair look fuller after styling. I also liked that it has hydrating ingredients like avocado oil and hyaluronic acid, so my hair felt softer and shinier instead of rough. It may not give an extreme, hairspray level hold, but if you want soft, bouncy volume that still feels touchable, this is a really good option.

I’m not used to using mousse, but I tried this tonight and then curled my hair. I went to an outdoor evening event in Florida. The humidity definitely did its part, but my hair kept a nice volume and the curls held some integrity. Honestly, my hair is usually easy to fall out of curls, so I’m pretty impressed. It didn’t feel crunchy after I combed it out with my fingers and put some hair oil in to soften it up.

Great volume on fine hair

Easy to use. Love that the bottle is clear so you can clearly see how much is left. Has a nice strong hold. I did find that straight out of the bottle it does make my hair a bit hard to run my fingers through which is one of my stims. I decided to try diluting it into a spray bottle since the lid comes off easily. I still got amazing volume and it has a softer touch that way. Overall, happy with this mousse.

I really liked this volumizing mousse from Matrix. It actually did give my hair some volume. I like that the texture of my hair didn’t feel crunchy like traditional mousse. The product felt light on my scalp. I would definitely purchase this. The bottle is a nice size so I think it should last me awhile.

This was a fairly decent mousse. Thick in consistency so seemed pure. Felt very sticky so I assumed absorption was fast and effective but unfortunately it didn't keep my hair in place for the night. Wish it was more absorbing and more effective in my hair!

This mousse is really lightweight and does not leave my hair crunchy or sticky. It smells amazing and makes my hair feel soft and a little more polished. I didn’t notice a huge increase in volume, but it did help with texture and keeping my style in place without weighing my hair down.

This mousse works well at hydrating and volumizing my hair without making it crunchy or greasy. I applied after my shower and then blow dried my hair. I think it works well, but I'm not a huge fan of the scent. It reminds me of a tropical lime coconut scent, which isn't bad, but it is a touch strong for my preference.

I love Matrix so much! This mousse is so nourishing and soft. I love the healthy ingredients like hyaluronic acid and avocado oil. This can take my old flat hair into really beautiful soft hair in just a few minutes and also smells lovely not over powering at all though! This also has been great as a lightweight treatment for my frizz.

Light and airy

First of all, I would like to say that I enjoyed the scent of this product as well as how light and airy the “mousse” formula was. I’m used to things from Y2K in terms of mousse lol (if you know, then you know!) But seriously this one actually was one of the better ones that I have used. Matrix is always a good company and they did not fail with this. It’s also great for someone like me that has very fine hair. It has a very minimal to medium hold , but it’s able to provide quite a bit of volume without extra product, which I really enjoyed and appreciated. My hair felt fluffy and airy and it held up well enough even in super intense wind. It honestly was a really good daily product that I would most likely want to try again. Also loved that it seems like this bottle is going to last a long time which is of course.

This product comes in a easy use it foam pump. It has a nice smell and does provide body to the hair. I really like the way it makes My hair looks with damp application, but it also provides body if I do a blowout. I would recommend this product, you just have to be careful if used on damp hair to not use too much.

Received for free from Influenster! I love me a good mousse, so I was excited to try this out. It is extra hydrating on the hair. It also left my hair wavy the next day! It absorbed so well into my hair and didn’t leave it feeling greasy or heavy the next day. It dried quickly. Packaging does stand out to me with the colors. My only issue is it didn’t give me to much volume as my hair is quite laid flat at times and I was hoping for the extra volume. It still left my hair feeling fresh and wonderful!

This mousse is amazing! When applied to my wet hair, I can immediately feel the softness that it gives. It’s very lightweight and I feel that it really does make a difference when I style my hair. I’ve tried letting it air dry and blow drying, and every time it turns out so soft and voluminous!

I’ve tried the Matrix Food for Soft Mousse on 3 separate occasions now, & I’m honestly impressed. I have naturally silly straight hair that falls flat no matter what I use but this gave me noticeable volume with out making my hair feel crunchy, stiff, or sticky. The scent is nice & light with out being overpowering. My hair still looked & felt good for 2-3 days before needing another wash.
