XXL Big 'N Soft Extra Hydrating & Volumizing Mousse

I LIKE HOW IT MADE MY HAIR LOOK BOUNCY, enough hair. Not too thin and straight! I always use it on the root of my hair every time I get out of shower! I would use it to keep my hair volume up!

I wanted to love this, as I have used several different hair products from Matrix. I have thick, wavy hair. I use about two pumps throughout my hair, when it is towel dried. After blow drying, it seems to leave my hair feeling dry to the touch, and sort of flat. While it does tame the frizz, it doesn’t leave my hair as smooth as I’d like. It has a light, pleasant scent, and pumps out easily. I’m just not sold on the final results of this Mousse.

This mouses adds noticeable volume without making my hair feels stiff or crunchy. The texture is lightweight and easy to distribute through damp hair, provides a nice boost. Its doesnt leave behind a sticky residue.

I have wavy combination hair that’s greasy at the roots and dry on my ends, so I gave it to my sister to try since she has curlier and drier non-greasy hair. From her experience using this mousse she said that she liked the way it made her curls look & the way it rejuvenated her curls. She said that it was crunchy, but in a good way that made her curls last. She also said that it didn’t have an overpowering smell, it was volumizing, & would recommend it.

lots of volume - probably would not purchase again. Felt like it built up a lot on my scalp and made my hair feel heavy. But did give an overall great appearance.

I've been really impressed with this mousse! I have a hard time finding volumizing products that actually add body without leaving my hair feeling crunchy or sticky, but this one does exactly what I was hoping for. It gives my hair noticeable lift at the roots while still keeping it soft, smooth, and touchable throughout the day. The foam is lightweight and easy to work through damp hair, and a little goes a long way. After blow-drying, my hair looked fuller, had more movement, and even had a healthy-looking shine. I also appreciated that it didn't leave behind any residue or make my hair feel weighed down like some mousses can. One of my favorite things about this product is that it adds volume without sacrificing hydration. My hair still feels moisturized instead of dry, which is a huge plus. The formula leaves my hair looking polished and bouncy while maintaining a natural feel. Plus, for the price, you get a ton of product, which is a plus! I used this product on my daughter. I applied it to her wet hair and then blow dried it. First of all the smell is amazing. This left her hair so soft and smelling amazing. It also added some volume. She has straight/flat hair normally.

I received this matrix product from Influenster in exchange for my honest review and had high hopes for it as I have curly, dry hair and was intrigued by its volumizing and hydrating qualities. It smells nice and was easy to apply as it came out of the bottle as a thin mousse. It made my hair feel a bit stiff while wet and I did not notice a huge improvement with volume. I would say I saw a slight improvement with fly aways and overall soft feeling after blow drying. I don't think I would repurchase this product as I prefer more of a leave in conditioner instead of mousse.

Great mouse for adding soft lightweight volume dry hair without stiffness and great hold. Love color packaging very vibrant and right for summer.

This mousse works great and smells so good! It does hold hair in place without being too crunchy. Hair still has a softness to it. The only thing is that my skin is super sensitive so I could tell this did irritate my face a bit

This was feel smooth on my scalp. It helps me smooth my hair easier helps me lay my hair down nicer. The smell of it is good and smells it fruity. This don’t really irritate my scalp it just make sure your scalp is clean.

Scent is mild enough for me i don't like heavy scents products. Helps with frizzy. Big bottle can last 6 months or more if your hair is thin like mine.

I loved this mouse and how light and hydrating it was for my curls! This entire line does a great job at reducing frizz and helping define my curls better!

I was a little disappointed that it didnt provide more volume. It is decently priced and it smells great. I did noticed that when it dried it gave me some flakes in my hair from the residue. Not terrible but not my favorite.

I enjoyed the volume it gave me. Not a lot of product is needed. The smell was not too strong either which is a plus for me. The foam dispenser is also a plus. My hair felt in place and I didn’t have to worry about fly away either since it was like a medium hold.

I absolutely love this mouse. My hair has an amazing volume after using it without making it sticky. It stays soft , bouncy and hydrated. Lightweight formula is easy to apply and doesn’t leave any residue , it also has a great fragrance.

Rarely try hair products besides shampoo and conditioner. As my hair is very weak and I am experiencing hair loss. This did make the hair look shinier be don’t apply too much and dont use too often

Really light weight and actually doesn’t make your hair feel like it’s been dried out on the sun for months when applied! The volume is pretty great

Both my partner and I are using this for extra volume, it does help keep hold but we haven’t noticed too much on the volumizing claim. At the very least it doesn’t leave our hair sticky or with any residue so we’ll continue to use it! The smell is sweet and lasts all day! It’s not drying or heavy in the hair so that’s good too!

This mousse smells great and is nice and thick. Was easy to use and apply to my hair. The pump applicator is easy to pump and use. The packaging is clear and see thru so you can see how much you have left. The one issue is it definitely leaves your hair crunchy and crusty no matter what you Do. Not a fan.

This is an interesting product! There’s a lot to work with and it comes out as a foam into your hands. It’s a little bit sticky, but I think I’m getting the hang of spreading it through the hair. I like that it doesn’t spray all over the place, like a hairspray would, and it did a good job of holding my dance buns in place. The scent is not strong and the product doesn’t feel too heavy but you do need to brush it in.

I was skeptical at first since I have very fine hair and everything seems to weigh it down, this however gave my hair so much bounce and volume that I haven’t had since I was younger. I’m very pleased with the soft texture and scent and how silky it left my hair feeling. There was no sticky residue left behind either. Definitely a win win product

I used the mousse to do mini twists on my 4B/c hair. My hair was blow dried to stretch it and I didn’t feel that it completely reverted my hair. It does feel quite sticky though and was a sensory nightmare for me. It’s not heavy but definitely not for people who can’t handle the sticky feeling on their hands.

I also liked that it has hydrating ingredients like avocado oil and hyaluronic acid, so my hair felt softer and shinier instead of rough. It may not give an extreme, hairspray level hold, but if you want soft, bouncy volume that still feels touchable, this is a really good option.

I’m not used to using mousse, but I tried this tonight and then curled my hair. I went to an outdoor evening event in Florida. The humidity definitely did its part, but my hair kept a nice volume and the curls held some integrity. Honestly, my hair is usually easy to fall out of curls, so I’m pretty impressed. It didn’t feel crunchy after I combed it out with my fingers and put some hair oil in to soften it up.

Easy to use. Love that the bottle is clear so you can clearly see how much is left. Has a nice strong hold. I did find that straight out of the bottle it does make my hair a bit hard to run my fingers through which is one of my stims. I decided to try diluting it into a spray bottle since the lid comes off easily. I still got amazing volume and it has a softer touch that way. Overall, happy with this mousse.

As a curly hair girly I have tried a lot of different kinds of hair mousse. I really like this one. It’s not too thick so it doesn’t weight down my curls. It’s not sticky and holds the curl throughout a busy day.

I really liked this volumizing mousse from Matrix. It actually did give my hair some volume. I like that the texture of my hair didn’t feel crunchy like traditional mousse. The product felt light on my scalp. I would definitely purchase this. The bottle is a nice size so I think it should last me awhile.

I used this mousse for my twist out and was not disappointed, it left my hair feeling soft and moisturized while preventing my hair from looking super frizzy. It’s very lightweight and made my twist out the best one I’ve done yet!
