I loved using this product on my curly hair. It really defined my curls. I also like that it was not sticky. It didn't leave my hair feeling crunchy which is a must. I also like the smell. I love when my hair smells clean. Definitely do not hesitate to try this product.

I hoped this would be a good replacement after the Vavoom mousse was discontinued, but it’s not. It smells good like the Vavoom but not as strong or long lasting. It takes so much of this product to get the hold I need, and even then it only holds for an hour or so before going flat. It definitely doesn’t hold when it’s the least bit humid. Though it comes out of the can light and fluffy, it feels heavy on my hair and makes my hair look/feel dull and greasy. It’s also difficult to wash it completely out of my hair.

Bring back vavoom mousse. The other products are not no where as good as vavoom. I have been using for 20 yrs and y'all didn't even ask us customers what we wanted. Who ever made the decision to discontinue vavoom should be fired.

I tried this thinking it would be simular to vavoom mousse. but was disappointed. Vavoom mousse gave my hair so much more volume. I don't understand why company's discontinue products. I'm actually a hairstylist and we used vavoom in our shop.

It's nice, but not quite for me I don't think

I recently gave a shot to the Matrix Styling Setter hair mousse in exchange for an honest review. On the plus side, it had a pleasant scent, and when it came to holding my style, it did a decent job especially in the first few hours. However, I'm not sure if I was too heavy handed on the application technique or if it's just not the best fit for my hair type. I have very thick, and fairly long hair, and it doesn't like too hold a curl very well unless it's done over a looong period of time in a heatless style. I tried with a couple different heatless curling options (french braid and the towel over the head woven around) but I couldn't escape that unmistakable crunchiness, especially in certain spots where it probably lumped up. Plus as time passed, I noticed my hair taking on a fluffier texture that eventually transformed into a frizzy and tangled situation. It might be a case of trial and error, but the so-so rating for me comes from the struggle to find that balance between hold and natural feel. I really prefer a much lighter and more flexible hold if anything.

Volumizing but not lasting hold

I love the smell of this mousse! It is lightweight and doesn't weigh my hair down, however, the volume doesn't last as long as I would like, and it did not help to define my curls as I had hoped it would.

Weightless feel, silky touch!

To be honest, I really like this product because I have fine hair and this mousse works really well with it, it doesn't weight down my hair and it does improve the freeze. However I'm giving it 5 stars only because it says it adds volume though it didn't to me.
But I would 100% recommend it, I really really like it and plan to continue using it once I run out of the free sample!

This mousse holds so well!! I love how lightweight it feels in my hair. I wasn't expecting much, but i was proved wrong after using it in humid weather. My volume stayed and frizz was not a problem. The scent is a great plus, too!

Magical Mousse

I absolutely love the smell and weight of this mousse. It leaves my hair lightly set with a fresh scent. The product has a light foamy consistency and does not leave my hair feeling soft. I apply it over leave in conditioner on slightly damp hair, diffuse my hair and voila! I am set for the day. I will bring this when I travel so I am never without this magic in a bottle.

Not for my hair type

I can see how others would love this product, but I have fine-textured hair and it's just a bit too heavy. I tried it on damp hair, and it was difficult to dry the way I prefer. It worked great to help hold curl in my hair, however. On dry hair, it's a bit too crunchy for my taste.
As a hairdresser, I would definitely use it on clients with thicker hair types.

I applied a small amount to dry hair to keep flyaways down. I liked the smell and easy usage of the product, but I didn't like how it made my hair greasy after application.

I've enjoyed using the styler setter mousse from matrix. It foams greats, spreads evenly throughout the hair and overall works really well for styling hair. I like to wash and then towel dry my hair. About 5 minutes after towel drying I will add my styling mousse followed by drying and styling. My hair doesn't clump together when styling and seems to hold all day. It also helps the frizz.
I enjoy the color of the pink bottle and the dispensing spot has a very chic design instead of just a round hole.

I absolutely fell in love with this mousse. I applied just a tiny bit to experiment and after blowdrying and styling my hair, it looked like I just came out of a salon. I absolutely love the lightweight formula and I would recommend this to everyone!

I received this product Complementary from #buzzagent @BuzzAgent and #MatrixHair @MatrixHair to try and give my honest opinion on. After trying this for the first time and a few times now I am really enjoying this product. I have wavy to straight hair down to my knees and I applied this to my wet hair. This has given me volume, shine leaving it feeling so condition and silky when I or anyone feels my hair I am loving it. I am liking this dosen't leave my hair stiff but feeling bouncy and movable. This is Vegan formula no animal derived ingredients. The packaging is so cute and easy to use. If you haven't tried this product I highly recommend you go and get you a can.

Lovely Setting Mousse!

Lightweight, smooth mousse that was easy to apply. Definitely helps hold styles with a flexible hold. I raked this into my damp hair with my fingers and then blow dried, then curled my hair and coiled it up and set it with clips until cool. I took the curls out and set them with hairspray and they lasted for three days, becoming waves by the second day. Did not leave a crunchy residue and did not have a strong fragrance, which is great!
